Tonight was my first night with the youth group. All I have to say is "God help me please". There were 24 kids, 19 of them were junior high students. Four of the five high school kids that came tonight were freshman. Since they (the freshmen) have only been in high school for approximately a month, they are still rich in the Jr. High mentality and immaturity.

They are all great, beautiful, rambunctious, fun kids that just don’t SHUT UP. My prayer is for God to send help, and to send it fast. I don’t want this to be one of those tests of faith, where I rediscover that when I am weak, He is strong or I can do all things through Christ Jesus. That is all great and true, but really I just want help. Plus I can’t afford to lose anymore of my hair.

Really though, I had fun tonight, it was just hard to get through a lesson with the unfocused and hyper kids. I guess I will have to find away to deliver a thought or message in away that captivates and holds their attention.

And my prayer is that God will send workers, as the harvest is plentiful, but the workers or in my case worker is few.

PS. MGC, the kids loved the pizza, thanks for covering that! Oh, and your kid was one of the few good and well behaved kids, who weren’t bouncing off of walls.
