While watching the Return of the Jedi the other night a quote in the movie struck me. Obi-Won says to Luke "Luke, you're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view".
While having lunch with some co-workers last week, one of the new attorneys was sharing with me his Muslim faith. He said that when he began to search for God he started with the Koran because historically, it was more reliable and accurate than the Bible. I listened and politely suggested that his views on the accuracy of the Bible may be relative to his up bringing in a Muslim faith country. He disagreed. Anyhow, he is going to start participating in our Theology on Tap group which I am excited about. Not that I want to use the group invite as a means of converting him, but rather I want to learn from him. Kahalil has a very sincere heart and passion for God that is refreshing. Though we may have some different beliefs, I believe we can still teach one another and help one another on our spiritual journey because Kahalil and I both put stake in love.
